Aluminothermic Welding Kits

CLIMA is the only professional railway technology research unit of Railway Department, Metal and Chemistry research institute is one of the professional research institutes of China Academy of Railway Sciences.

China Academy of Railway Sciences and Chemistry research institute started the research of Aluminothermic welding of rail in 1957, the study of 60kg/m rail pearlite aluminothermic welding began in 2003, ZKI-1 type rail aluminothermic welding succeeded in obtaining in Nov 2006 passed the technological audit by Transportation Bureau of Railway Department. Now there is 15 research staff that specializes in the study of rail welding, and more than 40 technicians working on rail aluminothermic welding. It has full testing method and equipment for the aluminothermic welded joint. Also it can design and produce various aluminothermic welding material and construction equipment suitable to different material and rail type.

Aluminothermic welding material of ZTK-1 Type Rail has been used more than 8000 sets in DaQin railway, TongRang Railway, LanXin Railway, LanXi Railway, and ZhengDa Railway. It is also applied in Olympic Airport Express with rail breakage rate less than 2%.

Product Feature
